Greetings, Colleagues:

Fifteen years ago the National Career Pathways Network (at that time the National Tech Prep Network) founded the Exemplary Worksite Learning Award to encourage Tech Prep and Career Pathways program leaders to integrate worksite opportunities for students and teachers into their programs of study and to showcase the best of these programs. For more than a dozen years the award competition has been sponsored by Caterpillar Inc. Three years ago Texas Instruments became a cosponsor.

In 2007 the name was changed to the Daniel M. Hull and Dale P. Parnell Partnership Excellence Award in honor of two visionaries who promoted student academic and career success for more than three decades.

In this issue of Connections, we feature the three 2009 winners. As you will see, these programs represent CTE partnerships at their best. We hope you find them inspiring.
