Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) High School Test: Mathematics Concepts

The Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) High School Test in Mathematics is based on the Content Standards for Mathematics of the Michigan Curriculum Framework.  

The fifteen content standards to be assessed and their respective distribution are as follows.

Patterns, Relationships and Functions (20%)
      I.1 Patterns
      I.2 Variability and Change

Geometry and Measurement (20%)
     II.1 Shape and Shape Relationships
     II.2 Position
     II.3 Measurement

Data Analysis and Numeration (20%)
     III.1 Collection, Organization and Presentation of Data
     III.2 Description and Interpretation
     III.3 Inference and Prediction

Number Sense and Numeration (5%)
     IV.1 Concepts and Properties of Numbers
     IV.2 Representation and Uses of Numbers
     IV.3 Number Relationships

Numerical and Algebraic Operations and Analytical Thinking (20%)
     V.1 Operations and their Properties
     V.2 Algebraic and Analytical Thinking

Probability and Discrete Mathematics (15%)
     VI.1 Probability
